Supporting People with Challenging Behaviours

The NDIS defines a challenging behaviour as one that could potentially risk the participant’s life or hinder them from participating in community activities. At La Grace Care Services, we have the qualifications and expertise necessary to address such behaviour efficiently. We provide much-needed support and assistance to the participant’s primary carer by helping them address their behavioural concerns.

Listed below are some instances of challenging behaviours that we are trained to handle:

  • Withdrawals in behaviour, such as extreme shyness or anxiety
  • Disruptive behaviours like kicking and screaming in public places, refusal to follow instructions, etc.
  • Violent & unsafe behavioural patterns, such as inflicting self-harm, hurting others, breaking things, etc.
  • Inappropriate social behaviour like touching others inappropriately, stealing, etc.
